Buttermilk Biscuit

I grew up in Tennessee and was surprised to find good biscuits so difficult to come by in much of NYC when I moved here several years ago. These biscuits (with or without the excellent butters) are outstanding. My only wish is that more entree items on the menu were pescatarian or vegetarian (though I know that's a tall ask for Southern food). In any event, I'm grateful for this go-to biscuit place.

Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit

I've been wanting to try this place for some time but haven't had the occasion to swing by; the sandwich did not disappoint and if you're looking for a solid chicken biscuit option, definitely give this a try. I ordered to-go but the restaurant was also really cozy; I definite want to try the GF biscuit one day and see how it holds up.

Biscuits & Gravy

Who knew in NYC, East Village, that you could find some genuine Southern Comfort food??!! There's even a restaurant close by that suggest "southern" comfort cuisine, however, many know...it's about the flavor. If your are going to offer a "biscuits & gravy" option...those two elements of flavor HAVE to have it's game stepped up. Southern Comfort met and exceeded that challenge! 1st-biscuits. Succulent, fluffy, airy, flavorful (try jalapeno cheese!) 2nd- gravy. As easy as the ingredients are for sausage gravy...it still needs to taste good. Again, Southern Charm nails this. Gravy should taste like you want to dip bread in and eat. That is, gratefully, the case here. This is a cheat meal in every sense of the definition...but cheating rarely tastes so good. Thank You!!
